Open Primaries is a national organization working to enact open primaries and educate the public about benefits of the reform. They represent a national movement of people who believe no American should be required to join a political party to exercise their right to vote. Grassroots donations from our supporters are vital to the success of our cause. Open Primaries Advocacy is a 501(c)4 nonprofit, therefore donations are not tax-deductible.

The Open Primaries Education Fund conducts research, hosts educational forums, and educates the public about primary election systems across the country. Donations to this fund are tax deductible.

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is a a simple, yet powerful way to vote that empowers voters to have a stronger voice. Voters can rank candidates by preference and candidates reach out beyond their base. Our partners at RCV Maryland are fighting to turn down the temperature on negative politics and increase representation for all. We believe we can have better elections in Maryland with ranked choice voting. Donations to RCV Maryland are tax deductible.

Independent Voters of Maryland

The mission of Independent Voters of Maryland is to (1) fight for voting rights of independent/unaffiliated voters to have just as much say as affiliated voters and (2) increase awareness of lack of open primaries and independents’ lack of rights. Donations to IVM are maintained in a private bank account and will be used for local needs in the state of Maryland. Donations to IVM are NOT tax deductible.
